A bit of fun, learning and sushi with the aim to intergrate barmi/bati youth into the shul service.
Bar Mitzvah Programme
In August of their Grade 6 year, Bar Mitzvah boys start a weekly journey to prepare them for Bar Mitzvah. The programme is practical and inspiring. We learn to navigate the shul and the service, to put on Tefillin, how Tefillin are made, to make Tzitzit, go on outings, other baisc Jewish knowlege and general life skills. Participants are paired with a Holocaust victim that was Bar Mitzvah age and each student takes on a chessed project for his Bar Mitzvah.
