Our Music

The last year and a half has been a time of change, adaptation and growth, certainly for the Shul, and very much so for the Shul’s band - we don’t like to think of ourselves as a ‘choir’ ;)

Music is an extremely powerful force, and when coupled with davening the results can achieve more than one can imagine. Our goal as a musical group is always to enhance the davening. Through music, we try to create an atmosphere in which it easier for one’s heart to be opened up and be moved by the meaning and intention of the prayers. And so we often look to distill the timeless beauty that is so replete in our heritage of music to its most simplified essence, and then to inject that with an energy of youthfulness and vibrance and inclusivity.

Its incredible to have this group of such dedicated, talented and fun singers.

Times of Services:

Friday Night and Chagim - 6.00 pm throughout the year (on rare occasions it will begin at 6.10pm)
Shabbos morning - 8.30 am (on rare occasions it will begin at 9.00 am)
On Rosh Hashanah at 7.45am
On Yom Kippur 8.00 am
