Welcome to Linksfield Shul

An Orthodox Hebrew synagogue and learning centre in the Johannesburg suburb of Linksfield.

Come and experience a Shabbos with us and enjoy our amazing services and highly praised brochas.

Linksfield Shul is proud to be involved in Mandela day by embarking on a campaign in conjunction with King David School and SOUL.

On Sunday 22nd July we will be setting up “makeover stations” for the 130 Skeem Saam Urban Mine workers, headed up by Lisa Lowenthal.

They sort through all our rubbish bins, collecting recyclable items, selling them in order to make money to support their families. Their work reduces landfills and helps towards preserving our environment.

We want to give them the small things in life that we take for granted on a daily basis.

How will we do this? Each person will get to enjoy a hot shower in our portable shower vans. They will also receive a haircut and shave, making them feel like a mentch.

We have got freelance barbers that would love to give back to the community. We are arranging a Braai for them, as well as making up clothing packs for each individual person.

a Linksfield community our task is to collect blankets for this worthy cause.

Drop off at the shul temporary office (9am to 3pm Monday to Thursdays or until 12pm Fridays) or alternatively at Lee -Ann Jackson's house, 29 Tennyson avenue.

Donations are welcome as well as clothing ( see attached poster for details).

Help us create a home for the Homeless.
